Description
Bostik Flexible Tanking System 8kg
A complete waterproofing and tanking system designed to protect tiled areas from moisture penetration.
Bostik Flexible Tanking System creates a seamless, flexible waterproof membrane beneath tiles, helping prevent moisture from passing into moisture-sensitive substrates. It is ideal for wet rooms, shower areas, bathrooms and kitchen utility areas.
The system is suitable for use over a range of common substrates including plaster, plasterboard, tile backer boards, concrete and sand/cement screeds.
The flexible membrane can also bridge fine cracks and joints while accommodating slight movement or vibration in well-constructed, structurally stable floors, walls and shower areas.

APPLICATION:
Apply the tanking primer to suitable porous substrates and allow it to dry. Apply the Flexible Tanking Liquid by brush or roller to the required areas, including joints, corners, cracks, seams and around pipe penetrations.
While the tanking liquid is still wet, embed the polyester jointing tape into the relevant joints and junctions. Where required, the polyester floor matting can be incorporated into the first coat for additional reinforcement.
Apply the subsequent coat as specified by the manufacturer’s instructions and allow the system to fully dry before tiling.
Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C.
The technical sheet states approximately 3 hours drying between coats, with the completed system requiring approximately 12–24 hours to dry depending on temperature and humidity.
Coverage is approximately up to 4–6m² per kit depending on the substrate and application.
Always follow the manufacturer’s latest technical and safety instructions before use.
